Event at the Open Day of the Trenčín Self-Governing Region

On 9 October 2023 at the Office of the Trenčín Self-Governing Region in within the framework of the Open Day of the Trenčín Self-Governing Region, an event was held, the task of which was to inform about the project "Revitalisation of Draškovič Manor in Čachtice". The event included two lectures by historian Mgr. Martin Vincurský from the Trenčín Museum in Trenčín, partner of the project.

In the first lecture entitled "Revitalization of the Draškovič Manor in Čachtice and its future use" he spoke about the original and future use of the manor after reconstruction, about new expositions and about the use of the manor for museum and other cultural, educational, and informational activities.

The second paper, entitled "From Rumours to Pogroms - Anti-Jewish Conspiracy Theories from the Middle Ages to the Present", is a lecture that is part of the project as a special activity aimed mainly at schools. In it, the attendees learned, besides a lot of interesting information, that conspiracies are not only relevant today, but have been with us in the past as well.

The event aimed to inform about the project at the event, which is held annually with the participation of many visitors from among the inhabitants of the Trenčín Self-Governing Region of different age groups.

At the event it was mentioned that the project is supported by the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area and the Norwegian Financial Mechanism, the state budget of the Slovak Republic and the budget of the Trenčín Self-Governing Region.
